Who says that Christians, as sons and daughters of God, can’t have some fun? God’s sense of humor is evident in the Bible. Social media today is being flooded by a strain of Christian memes that are becoming more and more popular. Let’s give it up for the DANK MEMES!
Dank Memes - informal def. an ironic expression used to mock online viral media and in-jokes that have exhausted their comedic value to the point of being trite or cliché. In this context, the word “dank,” originally coined as a term for high quality marijuana, is satirically used as a synonym for “cool.” - source: urbandictionary.com
Dank Christian Memes are simply memes that revolve around Jesus.
And what makes a Christian meme dank?
It has to be powerful. As in one that creates an impact to its readers; convincing them to share and immortalize it in social media.
Who would have thought that the Dab existed during the time of Jesus?
And by immortalize, I meant this.
It has to be fresh. As in new. Humans are intelligent species so we tend to always come up with something modern everyday. A pristine memes that goes beyond just quoting the Bible.
Ok, I know this one’s from the earliest seasons but, hey! Daryl Dixon is still on! I just can’t find a Christian Meme with him in it. Do you have one?
It has to be funny and clean. There is a borderline between satirical and being inappropriate. We do not intend to take the name of the Lord in vain. We just want to relate our daily experiences in the context of religion and God.
Good save, brotha. Good save.
As humans, we can relate to jokes about praising God, worshiping Him through dance and songs, youth groups, Sunday church, and everything else that comes with being a good disciple of God.
We are blessed with beautiful minds that are capable of passing on good judgement. That is: with all the bad stuff happening and easily circulating on the internet, we have our own free will to choose the right memes to appreciate and share with our people.
